About Ruby Rocks
I'm Casey and I made Ruby Rocks to demonstrate the strengths of Ruby and Rails in a shifting technology landscape.
I grew up in a time when teh web was exciting because it was new and wild.
Now it is different in ways I don't like.
The www is dot weird.
The web was fun because it was diverse and inperfect.
It was hand built by scientists, artists and hobbyists. Humans.
I think we've lost a bit of that and I want to do my part to keep it that way.
Without it, there's a risk of losing the next generation of talented nerds to AI and a-holes.
And for no good reason.
So I will do my part to keep it weird.
The web should be cute, silly and fun.
All things change and evolve, but the classics should remain. Ruby was instrumental in building some of the best of the web and we should remember why.
On Ruby.Rocks you'll find docs (small things I write about), talks (small things I talk about), and blocks (small things I learn about).
Ruby I love you.
